Hi! I’m Kevin Rivas.
I’m the founder of kevinrivas.com.
I became interested in statues, sculptures, and figures long ago, but I didn’t even know it. As a kid, I was always interested in the stories and small details behind the statues I saw. Each piece, from the giant statues in city streets to the little figurines on my grandmother’s mantel, held a story that interested me as a child.
Discovering the Power of Sculptures
My first profound experience with statues happened when my family and I visited a nearby city. I was mesmerized by the sculptures and figurines from different countries and times when we went to a museum. Every piece had a story, a piece of the artist’s soul, and a message for the people who saw it. This trip made me understand how powerful sculptures are: they can go beyond time and connect people of different generations.
Academic Pursuits
It was time for me to pick a job, and I knew I wanted to stay close to what I loved: art. I went to college and took an Art History class. There, I learned more about figures and sculptures. The things I had to do for school ranged from statues from ancient Greece to current abstract sculptures. I spent much time in libraries and museums learning about the methods and stories behind each piece. This academic goal helped me understand and appreciate the art form even more.
Hands-On Experience
Even though academic information was necessary, I felt the need to see sculptures being made in real life. I signed up for a sculpting class where I learned how to do many different things, from carving marble to shaping clay. Using various materials and tools changed my thoughts about the difficulties and details of doing work. It made me admire artists even more after that embarrassing event.
Travelling the World
I visited the world to learn more about sculptures and appreciate them more. I saw well-known sites like the Terracotta Army in China, Michelangelo’s David in Italy, and the Moai statues on Easter Island. Each trip opened my eyes to new ways that people from different countries use sculptures and statues to express themselves. It wasn’t enough to see art on these trips; they were also about learning about the history and culture that led to these beautiful works.
Starting My Blog: KevinRivas.com
I strongly desired to share my interest with others because I knew and had done so much. That’s when I chose to start KevinRivas.com, my blog. I just wanted to make a place to share my love of statues, sculptures, and toys with more people. I wanted to share ideas, stories, and educational material about this exciting art form that would inspire and teach others.
The Goal of My Blog
KevinRivas.com isn’t just a blog; it’s a community for people who like art and history and are interested. I want it to be a spot where people can learn about the history and methods of statues and sculptures, meet new artists, and get ideas for their art projects. You can find something worthwhile on my blog, whether you are an experienced art lover or someone just starting to learn about statues.
Exploring Different Genres
One of the best things about running KevinRivas.com is writing about and looking at different kinds of statues. Every genre, from ancient to modern, has ideas and stories to share. I like contrasting and comparing different styles, techniques, and societal influences. This research helps me understand how sculpture has changed and grown over time.
Highlighting Unsung Artists
People often talk about famous figures and sculptures, but it’s just as important to talk about the work of artists who aren’t as well known. There are a lot of skilled artists in the world whose work should be praised. I want more people to read their stories and see their art through my blog. I aim to help people appreciate and support new artists by doing this.
Personal Reflections and Experiences
Overseeing KevinRivas.com has been a very personal journey. Through my blog, I share what I know and my thoughts and experiences. Writing about my trips, art classes, and other art-related experiences has helped me heal and grow. On a personal level, it lets me connect with my fans and talk about how sculptures have affected my life.
Engaging with the Community
Getting to know my readers is one of the best things about blogging for me. I love getting texts, emails, and comments from people who love sculptures as much as I do. These conversations are critical, whether a question about a particular piece or a personal story about their experiences with art. They helped me remember why I started KevinRivas.com and encouraged me to share and learn more.
The Future of KevinRivas.com
From now on, I have big plans for KevinRivas.com. I want to add video lessons, interviews with artists, and virtual tours of museums and art shows to the material. I also want to work with other art blogs and experts to give my readers a comprehensive range of views. My goal is for KevinRivas.com to be a valuable and exciting site for anyone interested in statues, sculptures, and figures.
The End: A Lifelong Passion
Being interested in statues, sculptures, and figurines has been a love of mine for a long time and will continue to grow. From being interested in art as a child to studying it in school and doing it myself, each step has grown my love and respect for it. I’ve found a way to share this interest with others through KevinRivas.com, and I’m excited about the future. Welcome to my trip through the world of sculptures. I hope you enjoy it and learn from the stories and feelings these fantastic artworks hold.
